Father's Day Craft - Hanging Bookmark
Looking for a cute, quick, and hilarious Father’s Day craft idea? This is one - and it is very fun to make!
You will need:
- A picture of your child “hanging” (I just printed one on regular paper from my printer)
- Cardstock or Cardboard
- Clear Tape
- Ribbon
The first step is ever so fun. Take a picture of your child pretending to “hang” from a rope. This can take awhile to get the shot you are after. Saying things like “Oh no, you are about to slip!” or directing him or her to make their eyes look big and surprised, may help. Have fun with this step!
Next, print out the picture.
Then carefully cut out your picture, staying as close to your child’s body as possible.
After, tape it to the cardstock. Cover the photo completely in clear tape. This will act as a protective layer. You could also laminate it for better coverage (they have laminating sheets at Dollarama).
Cut out again, leaving a border of the cardstock, if you like. The cardstock helps to make the bookmark sturdier.
Finally, poke a hole through the hands and attach a string or a ribbon. I used a ribbon and curled the ends.
That’s it! A quick and easy Father’s day craft that is very fun for your child to make. If you are up for it, have your child take a “hanging” photo of you as well.
I think holidays such as Father’s Day should be celebrated with handmade goodies (more so than store-bought). This craft is easy for the little ones, but takes a bit of creativity for older children (so it is a fun craft for them, too!).
What are you making dad for Father’s Day this year?

Hello There. I discovered your blog the usage of msn.
That is a really neatly written article. I’ll make sure to bookmark it and come back
to read more of your useful information. Thank you for the post.
I’ll definitely comeback.
Hi there would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with?
I’m going to start my own blog soon but I’m having a difficult
time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design and style seems
different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique.
P.S Sorry for being off-topic but I had to ask!
